AT&T's Galaxy S 4 page lists April 30th ship date, $199 $639 price for 16GB

We saw AT&T open up a registration page for the Galaxy S 4 almost as soon as Samsung’s presentation was over, but now that link is exposing a bit more information. Several tipsters let us know that for customers in certain areas, the website is now showing the 16GB GS 4 available for pre-order in White Frost or Black Mist. Anyone can see some of the details, including that it’s promised to ship April 30th and has an off-contract pricetag of $639 ($199 w/ two-year agreement). Those who can get further in the ordering process report it’s promised to arrive at their homes on or before May 3rd, with two-day shipping. Hit the link below if you’re move to get your pre-order for Samsung’s latest standard-bearer as soon as possible.

[Thanks, Stephen, Asim, Jeff]

YouTube for iOS

Google, we have to talk about your sense of timing. You’ve just streamed Coachella’s first weekend on YouTube, and now you update the YouTube app for iOS to support live video? Better late than never, we suppose. Thankfully, there’s a pair of extra features in the bargain, including the ability to queue multiple videos for TV viewing and a port of the Android version’s uploads-only My Subscriptions feed. While it’ll be awhile before we recover from missing the Tegan and Sara show, everyone can prepare for future events by upgrading at the source link.

Twitter reportedly in talks to add video clips from Viacom, NBC

Now that Twitter has very tentatively launched Music integration, Bloomberg is reporting its next media target is TV. According to unnamed sources, Twitter is “close” to cutting deals to integrate video clips into the timeline, and sell advertising next to them. As we’ve seen with the new Cards it revealed earlier this month, bringing in more content about what users are discussing is key to its new strategy, and short TV clips fits into that idea perfectly. The report claims the first deal could be struck as soon as next month, with the possibility of other networks following afterward. Also playing into the strategy is its purchase of Bluefin Labs in February...

MyGlass companion app arrives on Google Play, Glass setup page goes live

Between word that Explorer Editions are being produced, a reveal of spec details and documentation for the Mirror API being published, it’s been a busy night for Google Glass announcements. Now, Mountain View has pushed up the hardware’s Android companion app, dubbed MyGlass, to Google Play. Sure, you can download it on any device toting Android 4.0.3 or higher, but Page and Co. say, “If you don’t have Glass, then downloading this will be a waste of time.” Launching the app takes users through a setup process for the eyewear, which the search behemoth has made available on a webpage as well. Google’s also posted a “help” directory to give folks unfamiliar with the glasses a tour of the spectacles...

Google Glass support page lists tech specs for camera, battery, audio and display

April 16, 2013 News  One comment

The trickle of Google Glass details (they’re shipping, the API is available and an Android companion app is live) has suddenly turned into a flood tonight, as 9to5Google points out a support page listing the device’s technical specs. While we knew some bits about its capabilities (some of which were explained in a patent application), the official list reveals its display will be equivalent to a 25-inch HD screen viewed from eight feet away, while it’s camera does 5MP stills and 720p video. It packs 16GB of storage onboard, 12GB of which are available to the wearer. Audio is transferred via a bone conduction transducer, while its wireless capabilities include Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11 b/g...
